My Story
I’ve had a huge sweet tooth since as long as I can remember. I’d always grab the most alien dessert out of the whole spread in a bakery. My husband on the other hand doesn’t eat eggs. I felt a little sorry for him and started baking at home for the both of us during the pandemic.
I realized that handmade desserts put together with thought, zest for novelty and clean ingredients taste entirely different than anything being sold in bakeries around me. The experience took me back to my mom’s kitchen back in India where she would bake homemade cakes for me. Additionally, now I was free to escape the chocolates and red velvets of the world and move on to matcha and sesame, for instance!
I saw the value in my creations and started making care packages for my friends which we would (contactlessly) deliver during covid. Everybody loved them! Since then my passion for handmade desserts has only grown!
I’d love for my audience to experience how a dessert could be the center of their events! I grew up eating pineapple, chocolate and black forest cakes in India. While those are fabulous, there is an entire world of flavors and combinations out there just waiting to be discovered. I wish to introduce my creativity to a wider audience.
Additionally, I strive to create desserts that don’t contain any chemically enriched ingredients. I also aim to create recipes which use less sugar and opt for suitable alternatives wherever possible. I want to feed my clients what I would feed my family – nothing less.
The DIY baking mixes, on the other hand, will eliminate me from the most time consuming and limiting part about my vision- the baking. Through thorough planning and meticulous experiments, I want to create foolproof recipes and put together required ingredients & instructions. I still intend to keep it a small batch production to ensure quality and freshness of the mixes. With these anyone in their own kitchen could whip up a unique and healthier dessert!
